KIAHUI is a filmmaker who previously trained in painting. She paints subjects that intrigue viewers on the notion of vanishing memories. In 2005, she entered school of art design and media in Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Inspired by her mentor, she grew interest in film and pursues her degree in digital filmmaking. She wants to find out how she can infuse elements of painting in filmmaking. 

Director, production designer and painter, kiahui is an artist filmmaker who believes in creating art with strong personal beliefs. She makes films about personal memories and human struggles on identity against the ever- changing environment, often leaving room for the viewer to make their own interpretation. Her artistic vision is influenced the colors, tones and spatial relation of space within composition. She sees every scene like a blank canvas; very element needs to be carefully designed, painted, sculpted and placed. 

KIAHUI has held her solo showcase of painting at esplanade art cafe entitled "LINGER MEMORIES' in 2006. Her first 2 films, "BE THAT AS IT MAY" AND "STAY" touch on subjects of nostalgia and the struggles with ones beliefs. "STAY" was screened at the nomad film festival 2008 and JOVE FILM MARKET 2008. Her experiment on the new technologies on the film "SELF" also aims to tell a story close to heart. KIAHUI has also volunteered herself as artist intern in the Singapore Biennale and Tyler print institute to enrich her artistic development. She also actively participated in film productions as well as a film- making workshop organized by the Asian Film Archive coordinated by Thai Indie director Thunska Pansittivorakul in 2007. She acted in "SIDE BY SIDE" which won the fly by night competition in 2007. She wants to develop herself as an artist filmmaker who is able to understand and find extraordinary life within the ordinary. 

In her thesis project: FRAIL LINE, a story centered around the changed dynamics in a father- daughter relationship. She hopes to investigate on how human struggles to cope with the changing relationship, their roles and their identity.
